Itinerary
Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Eilat and drive to Taba Border. Cross the border into Egypt and drive through the magnificent Sinai Desert.
You will be able see the amazing contrast between the colours of blue in the Red Sea, and the varying colours and landscape of the Sinai desert mountains.
The Sinai Desert - a triangular piece of land inhabited by the nomadic people of the desert - the Bedouin - living today as they did thousands of years ago. The Sinai Desert - sought after by nations throughout history. No fewer than 50 armies have crossed the Sinai throughout time. Pharaohs, like Tuthmos III and Ramses II have crossed Sinai with their military hoards - as did Napoleon and the Turks in more recent times.
Arrive at the monastery for a visit of the oldest existing monastery in the world, where the monks go about their daily chores.
Visit the Chamber of Skulls and the site of the burning bush.
The rest of the excursion includes lunch, a visit to the Rock of Inscriptions and tea in a Bedouin tent with Bedouin stories.
Time and weather permitting there is a chance to swim in the warm, clear waters of Red Sea.
Return to Eilat.

Day 1
Collection from your Hotel in Eilat and drive to the Taba border. After crossing the border, we drive through the Sinai desert stopping to gaze at Pharaoh's Island (Coral Island). Then on to Neweiba and the rock of Inscriptions and stop at the EIN KHUDRA Observation point to photograph the beautiful desert landscape. Then a visit to NAWAMIS - A burial site from the bronze age.
Dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2
We start very early with a climb up to the mountain of Sinai, a height of 2285m to watch the sun rise over the desert. Then we visit St. Catherine's Monastery with it's magnificent collection of early Christian art.
Time and weather permitting, you can swim/snorkel in the clear blue waters of the RED SEA.
